I have created this blog to highlight some of the fun things that happen when you work as an itinetate, school-based speech-language pathologist. You may find funny things that my kids have said to me, information about speech therapy services in the school, and links to activities that parents and teachers can use (not only for kids with speech & language disorders!). Hopefully it will be informative, educational, and amusing. Enjoy!
I love the idea. I think that more individuals in the Education profession should be more open to share what they find to make the learning experience more meaningful the students. Awesome! :-D
ReplyDeleteHi Jeni!
ReplyDeleteI think teachers need to know and know well all of the professionals working in their building. Even if none of their students require 'extra attention', all staff should know and respect all the other staff.
I have several friends who are speech pathologists and love it. I bet you absolutely love your job. To be able to work with a student who struggles to communicate and help them do it more clearly. Oh! What a wonderful moment to be a part of!
I'm sure you've heard several amusing things! I have too!
I appreciate you sharing part of you!

Hello Jeni!
ReplyDeleteBeing a fellow teacher of students with special needs myself, I truly appreciate the job you guys do with the students! I know it's especially difficult with some of the students who are non-verbal. I love hearing the funny stories, also! :o) It makes teaching interesting.
